Exchange Connections / Unified Communications
Messaging and collaboration technologies move at a dizzying pace. Microsoft and its ecosystem partners are continually releasing new software, hardware, procedures, and updates that make the world of unified communications ever more complicated. What's the best way to keep up? Come to Exchange Connections to get the answers you need! Our sessions cover the real world: deploying, managing, and maintaining Microsoft's Exchange and OCS/Lync products in your business to get the functionality you need. This year, we're going deep on Exchange 2010 and Exchange Online, including coverage of deployment and information protection, as well as the new features to expect in Exchange 2010 SP2 and how to co-operate and co-exist in hybrid deployments where some servers operate on-premises and some are in the cloud. We'll have sessions to help you analyse the best option for your company when the time comes to upgrade and discuss the benefits and pitfalls of moving into the cloud. We will show the advantages of integrating Exchange with SharePoint (and other collaboration solutions), as well as exploring the best way to make use of unified communications in your organization. If you're still running Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2007, don't worry- we're covering them too, with content to help you make the most out of your existing investments and to prepare for the future, whether it's on Exchange 2010 or Microsoft's Office 365 cloud offering.
SharePoint Connections
What does SharePoint 2010 offer my business? How can I deploy or upgrade successfully? What can I do to ensure my environment is secure, compliant, and manageable? What tools and features allow me to build better solutions on top of SharePoint? SharePoint Connections brings the experts and the community together, with three days and over 30 sessions for IT professionals and developers as well as no-code solutions for business managers using SharePoint 2010.
SQL Server Connections
In the Spring 2012 SQL Server Connections conference we're going to bring you our dynamic mix of industry-recognized speakers with real-world experience backing their sessions. With SQL Server 2012 seeing the launch of the next version, we've got some in-depth non-marketing sessions that explore the major new features in the database engine and BI stack. We'll also have sessions that focus on showing you how to get the most out of existing SQL Server installations as you face ever-increasing demands for performance and availability. We'll show you how to avoid common problems and how to mitigate problems you may already have. Primary emphasis will be on real-world lessons learned and best practices for security, monitoring, performance troubleshooting, Reporting Services, SSIS, and much more.
In addition to our conference sessions, dive deeper by adding on pre-conference and post-conference workshops. Paul and Kimberly will be presenting their fast-paced and demo-laden day packed full of maintenance, performance, and operations guidelines for "involuntary" DBAs, plus a full day of SQL Server 2012 features and tools, and a more advanced workshop on performance tuning. There will be four other workshops from Brent Ozar (on SANs), Peter Myers (on BI in SQL Server 2012), Jonathan Kehayias (in Extended Events and advanced monitoring), and Allen White (on PowerShell).
SQL Server Connections spring 2012 is packed full of top speakers giving you valuable information that you can take back to work and put into practice immediately - our aim is to maximize the ROI from your conference experience. An educated DBA is extremely valuable. The knowledge gained in such a short period doesn't seem measurable but returning attendees constantly remind us that previous shows have improved their performance, availability and/or helped to reduce the overall management needed on their servers. Their servers are running better - as a direct result from attending our show. This is priceless!
